The stage is set, the gloves are laced, and the energy is building. On Saturday, 19th July 2025, the heart of Nairobi will beat to the rhythm of roaring crowds, thudding punches, and unrelenting spirit as Roar in the Ring II comes alive at Charter Hall.
Organised by MELK Promotions, this second instalment of the Roar in the Ring series is not just a boxing event—it is a statement. A statement of resilience, of regional pride, and of the power of sport to unite, uplift, and inspire.
But before the first punch is thrown, Nairobi will witness another electrifying moment—the official weigh-in ceremony, set to take place on Friday, 18th July 2025, at the National Archives in Nairobi CBD. Fans, media, and curious onlookers are invited to witness this symbolic moment—where anticipation meets reality.
Leading the card is a clash that has already captured the imagination of boxing fans across Kenya: Daniel Wanyonyi versus Daniel Okoth in the super middleweight division. Two warriors, both proudly Kenyan, will battle not just for a win, but for legacy. It’s a match expected to deliver the kind of fire that defines careers.
Across the night, 14 professional bouts will light up the ring. From featherweights to middleweights, the fighters come from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo—each bringing their own style, story, and hunger.
The card also features a historic moment for Kenyan sports: a para-boxing exhibition match, showcasing adaptive boxing talent and reaffirming MELK Promotions’ belief that the ring belongs to everyone.
